Private Swim Training
PIPELINE SWIMMING Peak performance ONE-ON-ONE coaching & training for current or aspiring elite athletes to achieve their goals. Training is focused on maximized efficiency for Balance, Breathing & kicking patterns, practice, and competition mental preparation, and overall effectiveness.

Stroke School
Pre-Team - this is our entry-level yet part of the TEAM. This is where we introduce young athletes to the world of light competitive swimming! This is done through the application of drills/skills and repetition, starting with all the basic swimming fundamentals while having fun! Practices last 30 minutes twice a week. Mini meets i.e. beginner meets are offered approximately every 4 weeks. Three of the four competitive strokes will be taught in this group and 2 must be performed legally for 25 yards along with a proper understanding of the use of the kick board and beginner swim lingo such as ready position to advance to the next group. All ages are welcome, but swimmers will be evaluated first. If a swimmer cannot yet demonstrate freestyle and backstroke legally, we offer a fantastic learn-to-swim program focused on results and fun at the same location.

WAVES
This group is for first-time swimmers who can swim freestyle/backstroke (one lap minimum of each) but need to learn the basics of breaststroke, butterfly, streamline, turns, and starts. Heavy emphasis on kicking. The main focus will be technique, technique, technique (80%), and 20 % conditioning/ and having a lot of fun. This group will be offered 3 days a week with no mandatory practices.

RIPTIDES
This group of swimmers is the next wave of champion athletes. The main focus for this group will be mechanics and technique for all four competitive strokes, starts, and turns, as well as understanding the pace clock, interval training, and sets. Preparation for competitions, race strategies for swim meets, and learning sportsmanship are all part of this group's daily regimen. The competition gives the coaching staff the ability to gauge the athlete's progress. Having fun, being social, and being a part of a competitive sports team is what will help them reach their goals. 60% technique & drills/ 40% conditioning, building endurance, and mental preparation. Dryland training will be part of this training regiment.

HURRICANES
This group is for the swimmer who has the knowledge and ability to swim each of the four strokes legally. The main focus for this group will be mechanics and techniques in all four strokes, starts, turns, and preparing swimmers for meets should they choose to compete. The focus for this group will be continuing to have fun, be social, and be a part of a pre-competitive team of young athletes. 50% technique/ 50% conditioning. Dryland will be introduced.

NATIONAL TEAM
This group is for high school and elite-level swimmers. Dedication and work ethic is expected in this group. The focus will be on pacing/ interval training/ technique/ drills and dry lands Race strategies training and college prep should the swimmer be interested. The swimmer is expected to attend all local meets plus any they should qualify for. The swimmer is also expected to lead the younger teammates by example.

Practice Groups
Stroke School
PIPELINE's beginning group is for new swimmers to learn to swim in a team environment. The instructor will get into the water to help each swimmer through tactile, hands-on learning with drills and skills and lots of FUN! Practices last 30 minutes twice a week. Mini meets i.e. beginner meets are offered approximately every 4 weeks. Three of the four competitive strokes will be taught in this group. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle and backstroke to qualify for Stroke School which meets for 30 minutes, twice a week!
Waves
This group is for swimmers who can swim freestyle/backstroke (two laps minimum of each) but need to learn the basics of breaststroke, butterfly, streamline, and starts. The main focus will be 80% technique/20% conditioning/ and having a lot of fun. This group will be offered 3 days a week for 45 minutes, with no mandatory attendance. Participation in mini-meets is expected.
Hurricanes
This group is for the swimmer who is ready to start the next level and can perform four competitive strokes legally, is able to complete kicking and swim sets, and learns to read the pace clock. The main practice focus will be on all competitive strokes through drills and fun. Instructional and skill-based training will be the majority of the work; there will also be a small amount of interval training and endurance work. 60% technique/ 40% conditioning and intervals. Participation at mini-meets is expected.
Riptides
Riptides are competitive swimmers who compete in meets, local, and some travel to nearby cities around the state. Riptides train for 60–75 mins. Coaches focus on stroke technique, underwater streamlines, flip turns, starts, relays, and understanding the pace clock, interval training, and competition expectations. There is an increased focus on conditioning/dry lands and endurance. Participation in meets is expected, local or out-of-town, plus mini-meets are helpful to practice race strategies.
Futures
This group is for competitive-level swimmers who have achieved AAA, AAAA, or FLAG/Sr. Champs time standards. The focus will be on pacing/ interval training/ technique/ dryland/ and race-specific training. Morning practices are offered, but optional for this practice group. The swimmer is expected to attend meets, both local and any they should qualify for. The swimmer is also expected to lead the younger teammates by example.
National
This is our top PIPELINE group reserved for our competitive swimmers who have achieved FLAG/Sr. Champs/Sectionals/Futures/Jr. Nat and Sr. Nat qualifying times. The strategic plan for this level includes 4 mornings per week (including non-competition Saturdays) plus 5 weekday evenings. Competitions are required and all swimmers who achieve championship cuts are expected to attend those travel meets. College prep is offered to those swimmers interested in pursuing their collegiate swimming career.
